One of our primary focuses for the last few years at Created by Elsie B has been building a sustainable infrastructure for the business. It takes a lot of pieces to create the squishy fibers that you all love, and most of those things carry on quietly behind the scenes. The most significant change for you, however, has probably been launching our very own Created by Elsie B shopping platform. We spent a lot of blood, sweat and fluffy love building it, and we want to make sure that you're getting the most out of our website every time you visit us. It's packed full of features and super easy to navigate. There are several ways to search our catalog, plus a few hidden gems that you may have missed during casual browsing.
Make Yourself at Home
Like a display window in a brick and mortar storefront, our home page gives you a little flavor of what you can expect when shopping at Create by Elsie B. It also serves as the perfect jumping off point to dive into all the goodness that we have to offer. You'll immediately be greeted by a full-color, incredibly vibrant banner that showcases five featured categories, giving you quick access to Recently Added, Year of Fiber, LeAndra's Favorites, Fiber Club and Spinning Wheels. Scroll down to see a sneak peek of our Website Exclusives as well as a full overview of our fiber options organized by base.
Get a Move On
Toward the top of every page on the Elsie B website is an intuitive navigation bar that links you to just about every page on our site. A drop-down menu under the Shop tab opens the door to our virtual showroom where all our scrumptious fiber is found. You can shop by fiber base or color family, or find a half-dozen of our most popular product categories right at your fingertips, including Elsie Bits, Notions Bags, Gift Cards and Spinning Tools. A quick jump to the right of the navigation bar to the About tab opens another menu with our contact info, shipping policies and FAQs, among other handy pages. You can also move directly to our blog, make a custom order (we'll even spin our fiber for you!), find our popular Year of Fiber and build your own personalized wishlist all from this central navigation hub.
Look to the Left, Look to the Right
If you want to truly personalize your shopping experience, take a look at the top left and top right corners of any page on Created by Elsie B. The options on the left allow you to create your own Elsie B account and login when you come back for a visit. (When logged in, you will see your My Account portal here.) Your account is where you track your order information and manage your subscriptions. It also allows you to see your favorite products and fibers at a glance on your personalized wishlist.
Look up and to the right to locate our social media communities. You can find both our business page and our interactive fiber community on Facebook. Created by Elsie B is also active on Pinterest and Instagram. There is also easy access to your in-progress cart as you shop in this area. In addition, our international shoppers can effortlessly adjust their currency from the default US dollar by using the drop-down menu on the far right. Your desired currency conversion translates to our entire website as you shop as well as to your cart.
Get Down to It
While it's easy to overlook, there is actually a lot of useful tidbits at the bottom bar of each page on Created by Elsie B. You can easily sign up for our newsletter. (This is where you find Elsie B news, restocks and new releases, including the monthly Year of Fiber.) The navigation bar from above is mirrored in a simpler format, and our social media links are repeated. Finally, you can view almost a dozen various options you can use to pay for your order, including all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo and Google Pay.
